Mountain Goat sculpture

The Carpra. Latin (mountain goat).

the pinnacle of wild goats native to Alaska. Evokes a symbol of resilience and an enduring mindset. I carved this piece in a public space in Wasilla Alaska October 19, 2025.

My experiences in the mountains have fueled the inspiration for this piece.  From dangerous ridge-lines to hiking in slippery steep drainages and slopes. Mountain camping under the aurora in search of the North American Billy the Mountain Goat.
